Chino Trinidad, a veteran sports journalist, has died at the age of 56. According to GMA News Online, his daughter, Florese Trinidad, confirmed his death. Florese sent a text message to the news outfit, confirming the sad news. "Yes, we are very sad to share the news of his passing last night, July 13, 2024," the SMS of Florese read. The report revealed that he died of a heart attack on Saturday evening. It happened when he was on his way to meet with Bata Reyes and other personalities at Newport World Resorts. He was rushed to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, but died at the said medical facility. The family of Chino sent a separate message to GMA News, honoring the late sports journo. "Known to many through his storytelling, he never stopped sharing the greatness of Filipinos...He was a loving husband and a supportive father. He will truly be missed," the message read.
