Gladys Reyes says it’s better to end up with your “first and last” love

Gladys Reyes said that when it comes to finding your one true love, it’s better if it is your “first and last.”

The actress, who has been married to her celebrity husband Christopher Roxas for more than 25 years, is hoping their children will also end up with their first love.

Gladys and Christopher met and fell in love when they were teen stars in their TV drama series “Mara Clara.” Last January 2018, the couple renewed their marriage vows. They are still happily married and has been blessed with four children.

Since Gladys is now working on GMA’s newest TV series, “Madrasta,” she was asked if she wouldn’t mind if her child would have a “madrasta” as a girlfriend.

Gladys, whose eldest son is now 13 years old said she would prefer if he would have a love story like hers and Christopher’s when the time comes. She explained, “Hindi po sa nagsasalita ako ng tapos na ayoko mag-end up ang anak ko na may madrasta pero mas maganda iba kasi siyempre yung naging experience ko, ‘di ba, kami ni Christopher, talagang first and last gano’n iba eh.”

Now that her son is a teenager, Gladys said that if ever he would pursue a girl, the celebrity mom would want to get to know her as well.

She said, “Tinatanong nga ako paano kapag may girlfriend eh 13 lang siya, sabi ko kailangan makilala ko siya at makilala niya ako so let’s see pero hindi naman po lalo na iba na panahon ngayon.”

In GMA’s newest TV series, “Madrasta,” Gladys will play the role of Dr. Elizabeth, the mother of the lead character, Sean, played by Juancho Trivino.
