Sen. Manny Pacquiao revealed during a virtual forum that was organized by the Rotary Club of Manila that if he becomes President and Jinkee becomes First Lady, she will not be following the path of Imelda Marcos, reported Philstar.

This was his response when he was asked whether Jinkee would also be living the luxurious life that Marcos' First Lady lived.

He also clarified that his wife is really not interested in politics. The senator also looked back at the time that Jinkee ran as vice governor in Sarangani, but clarified that she did simply because she was compelled to do so.

He then stated that the only thing that Jinkee would like to do is to serve, help women, provide scholarships, housing and sustainable livelihood, as per ABS-CBN.

Aside from defending Jinkee, Pacquiao, in a separate statement via DZRH, also said that he will not be withdrawing his candidacy.
