‘Kulong o public apology?’ Dawn Chang, pinalagan ang mabigat na alegasyon ni Cristy Fermin

Kasunod ng naunang mabigat na alegasyon ni Cristy Fermin na “nakipaglandian” ang Pinoy Big Brother alumna na si Dawn Chang sa mga “boss ng ABS-CBN” kapalit ng “trabaho,” pumalag ang abogado ng aktres upang balaan ang batikang showbiz commentator sa maaari nitong kaharaping patong-patong na reklamo kung hindi babawiin ang “malisyosong” komento sa kanilang kliyente.

“To put things in proper perspective, this quoted statement of Fermin was a malicious, hateful, and malevolent response to our clients’ prior responsible exercise of free speech. Fermin’s response was meant to downplay the effect of our client’s comment on Ms. Toni Gonzaga’s participation in the proclamation rally of a particular set of politicians,” pagpupunto ng abogado ni Dawn na si Rafael Vicente Calinisan sa isang pahayag.

Mariing pinabulaanan ni Calinisan ang mga alegasyon ni Cristy na layon lang umanong dungisan at sirain ang reputasyon ni Dawn. Dagdag nito, hindi “proper response” ang naging malisyusong pagtugon ni Cristy sa kinasangkutang isyu ni Dawn.

“If you want to destroy the reputation of our client, you will fail, because truth and principle is on our side. The truth is stringer that people like yoo. God will always triumph over evil.”

Hindi raw matitinag si Dawn sa katulad ni Cristy na gumagamit ng “character assassination just to perpetuate a wrong.”

“To repeat, our client was merely exercising her right to fairly comment on national issues. But what you have done is to bring the showbiz industry, and the mindfulness of society to the gutter by spreading lies about our client to silence her or damage her,” dagdag ni Calinisan.

Dito sunod na hinamon ng kampo ni Dawn si Cristy na pangalanan nito ang mga “boss ng ABS-CBN” na kinasangkutan ng aktres.

“Kung wala kang kredibilidad, ‘wag ka nang mandamay. Let us be clear: no one has the right to objectify women and disparage their repuraiton. Ang mga babae ay nirerespeto at minamahal.

“Those who provide the news have a responsibility to bring out the news fairly and without color. Journalism’s obligation, first and foremost is to the truth. What you have done to our client is truly disrespectful and is plain and simple LIBELOUS. You should use your platform properly,” dagdag na mga punto ni Calinisan.

Giit pa nito, “Isang malaking kabastusan po ang ginawa mo Cristy Fermin, sa aming kliyente.”

Sa huli, nag-demand ang kampo ni Dawn na maglabas ng public apology si Cristy kay Dawn. Dagdag nito, dapat mailathala ang nasabing public apology sa ilang broadsheets kabilang ang ilang  programa o social media platforms ng entertainment columnist.

Binigyan lang ng kampo ni Dawn si Cristy ng hanggang ika-16 ng Pebrero, Miyerkules. Ang magiging hakbang ni Cristy ang magtatakda kung itutuloy ng kampo ni Dawn ang “criminal, civil and even administrative actions” laban kay Cristy.
