Ai-Ai delas Alas, Darryl Yap, idineklarang persona non grata ng QC council

Outgoing Quezon City District 4 Councilor Ivy Lagman filed a resolution to declare AiAi delas Alas and Darryl Yap as persona non grata for allegedly disrespecting the triangular seal of QC, which was approved by the city council as per Inquirer's report.

The act in question could be found in a video which starred the comedienne AiAi, and where the words "BBM" and "SARA" could be seen superimposed on the triangular seal of QC. It was a campaign video for Mike Defensor, News5 reported.

She then called all content creators who were part of the project, particularly the comedienne and the director Darryl Yap to apologize to QC residents.

"I am calling all the content creators, especially Mr. Darryl Yap and Ms. Ai-Ai delas Alas, and many others who were part of this project, to apologize to the citizens of Quezon City for debasing and bastardizing the beloved seal of Quezon City," said the outgoing councilor during the 94th Regular Session of the 21st City Council.

"It is a great disrespect and disregard of the laws of our land to superimpose the said seal just to campaign for a politician...," Lagman added.

ABS-CBN reported that the move stemmed from the video of Ai-Ai, directed by Darryl Yap, posted on VinCentiments page, and where the comedienne played the role of "Ligaya Delmonte."
